Mavericks Clinch Western Conference Title

The Dallas Mavericks have advanced to the 2024 NBA Finals after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. The Mavericks clinched the series with a 124-103 blowout victory on Thursday night in Dallas.

Luka Doncic led the way for the Mavericks with 36 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis added 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in with 17 points off the bench.

The Mavericks got off to a hot start, taking an early lead and never looking back. They led by 18 points at halftime and extended their lead to 25 points in the third quarter.

The Timberwolves made a run in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late. The Mavericks held on to win by 21 points, securing their spot in the NBA Finals.

This is the Mavericks' first trip to the NBA Finals since 2011. They will face the Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics in a rematch of the 2006 NBA Finals.
